Overview of the Event

The Kansas City United Church of God is hosting its third singles and couples weekend in the beautiful "Show Me" state of Missouri. This years' exciting event will take place during the Labor Day holiday weekend and center many of its activities around Kansas City's newest and most  popular attractions and developments. Our hotel and meeting facilities will be in close proximity of the Kansas City International airport allowing easy access and free shuttle service for any guests that will be flying in. Guests will not need to rent cars for this event.

The weekend will have inspiring and interactive seminars for singles and married couples. Guests will also be able to participate in pre-event online surveys and polls to gather more data for the seminars.  We will be meeting in the plush and first class theaters of the Improv and Majestic Theater in the Zona Rosa shopping district.  There will be many unique opportunities for fellowship, fun, dancing, karaoke and fabulous feasting with a taste of Kansas City's best cuisine.

We will kick off the event with a welcoming reception Friday night and provide the best pizza in town-Minsky's pizza!

Saturday night's activity will be a buffet dinner at O'Dowds Irish Pub followed by dancing  and karaoke in our own private banquet room.

Perhaps the highlight of the weekend will be Sunday's six hour "Tour de Kansas City." We will be touring Kansas City in style via a luxurious bus coach allowing us to stay together as a group. The tour will include many stops and excellent photo opts of the city's best and nearby attractions. Some of the stops will include: Briarcliff Village, the Power and Light District, the Jazz District, Union Station, Liberty MemorialThe Nelson Atkins Museum, Kauffman Gardens, the Country Club Plaza, and the tour will end eating cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory.

Prior to the bus tour, we will be playing volleyball at one of Kansas City's most beautiful parks. A free tour of the Nelson Art Gallery and Kauffman Memorial gardens will be in walking distance of the park.  A Monday afternoon activity will also be planned for those who are still in town and we will announce that at a later time.
